Complete Patio Renovation – Composite Decking, Colorbond Roof & Aluminium Balustrade - South Port, QLD
COMFYARD completed a comprehensive patio renovation, transforming an existing outdoor area into a modern and functional outdoor living space.
The renovation involved the complete removal of the existing timber decking, patio roof structure and balustrade, followed by the installation of a new structural steel framework, composite decking, a Colorbond patio roof and custom-made aluminium vertical slatted balustrades.
The new structural steel framework provides support for the renovated patio, including the decking and roof structure. Composite decking was installed across approximately 25 m², complemented by custom-built stairs with matching decking treads and finishing trims.
A new Colorbond patio roof was installed to provide overhead protection, complete with supporting members, flashings, gutters and downpipe.
To finish the renovation, COMFYARD designed and installed custom aluminium vertical slatted balustrade panels, fabricated on site to suit the dimensions and layout of the patio.
The combination of modern materials, coordinated finishes and custom construction details delivers a cohesive outdoor entertaining area designed for everyday use.

4. Custom Deck Stairs
Construction of new stairs with structural steel support framing.

5. Colorbond Patio Roof
Supply and installation of new Colorbond patio roof sheeting.
Installation of roof battens and supporting members where required.
Installation of Colorbond flashings, including ridge, apron and wall flashings.

6. Custom Aluminium Vertical Slatted Balustrade
Supply and installation of custom-made aluminium vertical slatted balustrade panels.
On-site fabrication to accommodate individual opening dimensions.
Installation of 65 × 16 × 1.2 mm aluminium vertical slats.
Approximately 65 mm spacing between vertical slats.
Installation of 50 × 50 mm posts used as handrails.

Custom Aluminium Balustrade Design
An important feature of this patio renovation is the custom aluminium vertical slatted balustrade.
